The @billieholidaytheatre partners with @bedstuyarthouse to honor Malcolm X and Lorraine Hansberry—two visionaries born May 19 who forever shifted how we see ourselves, our power, and each other. 

Through theater, live music, and performance, a new generation of artists reinterprets their words—pulling from speeches, interviews, and letters—to remind us that their work isn’t history... it’s a living foundation.

At a time when everything feels like it’s shifting, this is an invitation to return to that foundation—and ask who we become when we do.

This is not a lecture. This is live art, live music, and artists gathering in real time to remember, celebrate, and create something urgent together.
